Portobello chicken burger with spinach recipe explained

Ingredients

  • 2 portobellos

  • 300 grams of chicken mince

  • 1 egg

  • breadcrumbs

  • 50 grams of spinach

  • red onion

  • grated goat cheese (+/- 30 grams)

  • arugula

Preparation method

  1. Put the mince in a bowl with an egg and some breadcrumbs. Knead the mince and shape it into 2 large or 3 to 4 smaller burgers.

  2. Fry the burgers in a frying pan.

  3. Chop the red onion into small pieces. Sauté the red onion in a frying pan and add the spinach at the end so it wilts.

  4. Meanwhile, brush the portobellos with a bit of olive oil and garlic. Grill in a grill pan or under a grill.

  5. Assemble your burger with the portobellos as the top and bottom, the burger, and the red onion and spinach.

  6. Finish with some grated goat cheese and arugula, and voilà! Enjoy your burger.
