Oatmeal cake with apple pie flavor

In this article about oatmeal cake with apple pie flavor: What is better than a healthy snack around 11 AM or 4 PM? This oatmeal cake, which tastes like apple pie, is the solution. Additionally, you can also eat a slice of this cake for breakfast with a scoop of low-fat yogurt, for example. Bake it on a quiet Sunday and wrap it in aluminum foil, so you can enjoy it all week long!

Oatmeal cake with apple pie flavor explained

Ingredients

  • 100 grams of oatmeal

  • 1 banana

  • 120 grams of fresh soaked dates

  • 1 egg

  • 1 tablespoon of baking powder

  • 50 grams of almonds

  • 1 apple

  • 60 grams of raisins

  • Cinnamon

  • Optional: cacao nibs or cranberries

Preparation method

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.

  2. Mix the oatmeal, banana, dates, and almonds in a food processor or strong blender.

  3. Then add the egg and baking powder and mix again.

  4. Peel the apple and cut it into small pieces. Stir in a separate bowl with the raisins, cinnamon, and possibly other fillings like cacao nibs or cranberries. (more options: vanilla protein powder, mulberries, or walnuts).

  5. Fold the filling into the batter and stir together (do not mix/blend, otherwise you won't have whole raisins, etc.).

  6. Grease the cake tin with coconut oil.

  7. Pour the batter into the cake tin and smooth it out.

  8. Place the cake in the oven for 30 minutes.

  9. Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool completely.

  10. Take the cake out and serve in thick slices. Enjoy!
